Medical School from what we see is some pretty tough stuff.

You have to change the way you think and look at things.

Your stomach must become strong to bear the blood and guts that will become a daily routine in medical school.

The fresh interns must learn that the Doctor knows best, and is there to teach them the ends and outs of the medical profession.

Lives depend on quick reactions and proper judgments.

They must be aware of all things happening and pick up on the slightest things that may make the biggest difference.

This is one Doctors way of getting his student prepared to do that very thing (pay attention and have a strong stomach).

A class of First Year medical students were receiving their very first anatomy class with a dead human body.

As they all gathered around the surgery table with the body draped with a white sheet.

The Doctor started the class by telling them, “When you practice medicine, it is essential to have two highly important qualities as a doctor. The very First thing is that you should never be disgusted by anything involving the human body.”

The Doctor then pulled back the sheet, and stuck his finger in the a open wound in the corpse, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth.

” Now You interns go ahead and do the same thing. The interns initially freaked out, hesitated for many minutes, but after awhile took turns sticking a finger in the open wound, and started sucking on their fingers.

When everyone had finished, the Doctor looked at the class, shook his head and told them,

“The second most important quality is close observation.

I stuck in my middle finger in the wound, but sucked on my index finger. Now learn to pay attention!” eeh!
