How lucky we are when we have found that one to share the rest of our lives with. They fit perfectly into our own little private world, our friend, our confidante, our dream come true. We stare in to each others eyes and see what no one else can see. The perfection, the beauty, the glow.

We wed after we say our vows straight from our hearts and deep in our souls. Our friends smile and our families gleam.

We honeymoon and all is just as we had imagined it to be.

The loving gazing has been replaced with hateful glaring, the beauty has turned into some horrid creature, the perfection shows all the dings and scratches of a demolished car, and the glow has faded into some subterranean darkness.

Hands that used to reach for each others hands, now twitch as you eye each others throats.

Yes it’s time for the Divorce! That ultimate acceptance of failure, that acknowledgment of irreconcilable differences, that grasp at long lost freedom none the less.

The dreadful splitting of assets, of bratty kids, of who wants these pictures of us together mementos.

But somewhere along the lines of these Lose-Lose situations there are sometimes little signs of winning.
